Over the past couple of decades, Dr. Gail Weingast has been able to guide her depart-ment into its current position as a premiere medical facility with her four decades plus of knowledge and experience. It’s no secret why; she has a ton of experience and education and she knows what she is doing. She has certainly come a long way in the more than four decades since she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts.
Dr. Gail Weingast has a lot of education to work from, but she also has tons of expe-rience. Besides numerous internships and residencies at a couple of prominent Colorado hospitals, she worked at several other hospitals in Colorado and in New York, until she settled into her current position. When she took a position as a radiology specialist at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut, she really found a home. She has not been at Backus for more than 20 years, and she is now very highly regarded as the Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging for one of the best facilities anywhere.
